Lycoming Web Upgrade
Beginning on Monday, December 18 and continuing throughout the week, Lycoming College's home page will be upgraded in an effort to remain current with the technology and design and to have more uniformity in the look across all divisions. We are finding our home page to be the front door to the College as illustrated by over 1/3 of this year's freshmen applying online. Following the efforts of an outside and inside design team, the review of the administrative cabinet, and the feedback from groups such as the Academic Computing Committee, several web pages will be immediately replaced during the week.  There will be an ongoing process throughout the spring semester to upgrade individual department web pages. To assist in this project, there will be standard templates, individual and group training, and personnel available during this period to help. Academic departments will continue to use their current designs for their web sites, but there will be assistance for those wishing to upgrade to the more standardized look and feel. The new web pages were created with the intent of allowing Lycoming staff and faculty to easily edit them with FrontPage 2000. More information on these methods and procedures will follow after the holidays.
