GroupWise Maintenance Requirements

For those of you who are using the new GroupWise 6 client and/or WebAccess via the internet, your mailbox is now limited to 20 MB for faculty and staff, and 15 MB for students. You cannot send new mail if your mailbox exceeds the capacity. The benefit of this new client is that you get to control what you archive/delete and when. This will also help maintain the overall server disk space and performance. Unfortunately, if you choose to use another unsupported client, i.e. Microsoft Outlook, you will not have access to this feature. If you are using a POP3 client, please choose to remove mail from the server as opposed to copy. This will help maintain your mailbox size.

IMPORTANT: Anyone using clients other than GroupWise 6 and Web Access will have forced cleanups periodically as in the past so that the mailbox size scan be maintained. If you do not currently have the GroupWise 6 client, please contact myself or Steve Caravaggio via e-mail.
