SAMPLING OF INTERNSHIPS ---- REGIONAL
LOCAL BANKING — an outstanding FINANCE position in the commercial loan department. Intern will do financial analysis of customers using spreadsheets, industry information, historical information and interaction with the lender.
MANUFACTURING — ACCOUNTING major will work with electronic spreadsheet programs to assess profitability and work with public accountant in performing the corporate audit.
NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION — Internship will expose BUSINESS or ECONOMICS student to the operations of a neighborhood -housing provider. Will work with government agencies, businesses and banks, develop PowerPoint presentations, identify grant sources and collect and analyze data.
NON-PROFIT TECHNICAL — This organization provides exposure to many marketing activities as well as financial reporting and newsletter preparation for MARKETING major.
EXPORT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM — Market research and international marketing and sales plans experience as well as the opportunity to interface with state government workers will be gained through interning with this organization.
STATE GOVERNMENT — BUSINESS student will use Microsoft Excel skills in the Fiscal Unit of district office for budget preparation and monthly reports. Will learn payroll entry into mainframe system and calculate employee leave balances, etc.
