Academic Programs

All students who are majoring or minoring in accounting, business administration and economics are welcome to join this organization. The programs in these three departments are supported by a first-rate liberal arts education.

The Institute for Management Studies offers a May-term study abroad program titled the “European Business Experience”. The program was designed by the IMS to teach students a better understanding of the concepts of globalization and internationalization through business and financial institution visits, lectures, as well as outings to historical and cultural sites. The 2014 May term, taught by Professors Mehrdad Madresehee and Georg Grassmueck, will include travel to London and Vienna.

IMS students can spend a semester studying business at the University of Westminster in the heart of London. Students will study at the Westminster Business School where they can take classes such as international business, marketing, finance and business economics. The WBS is located on Marylebone Road directly across from the Baker Street Tube station and Regents Park and is near excellent shopping, entertainment and cultural facilities.

While studying at the Westminster Business School you will meet British students as well as students from around the world. You continue to pay Lycoming College's tuition rate and your credits will be applied to your degree program here.
