Lycoming College seeks candidates for the position of Associate Dean of Students. The Associate Dean of Students shares in the responsibility for creating and maintaining a living-learning environment which fosters the intellectual, personal, social and ethical development of students. This is achieved through fair and consistent application of the College’s Student Code of Conduct, training campus constituents on the student conduct process, and conducting periodic reviews of best practices and when appropriate revising the College’s Code of Conduct and adjudication procedures.
The Associate Dean of Students serves as Deputy Title IX Coordinator and works collaboratively with the other campus departments to provide education and prevention programs to address high risk behaviors i.e., alcohol and sexual misconduct.
The position is also responsible for the oversight and/or support of international students and inclusive services for underrepresented students as it relates to student life.
The Associate Dean of Students works closely with the Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students in the administration of Student Life programs and services.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
Master’s degree in College Student Personnel Administration, higher education or related field of study. Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in higher education, including conduct administration, and program development/assessment. Strong collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal. A working knowledge in areas of federal, state, and local law and regulation affecting higher education and student life. Experience with working with minority student and international student populations.
