Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish

Position Summary:

The Department of Modern Language Studies at Lycoming College invites applications for a full-time, one-year, Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish beginning fall 2018.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:  A.B.D. required, Ph.D. preferred. This is a one-year position with a 3/3 teaching load.  A tenure-track position with a similar description will be advertised in fall 2018. The ideal candidate will hold a specialization in Latin American literature or culture, demonstrate experience in a liberal arts college setting and commitment to this model, have sustained living experience in Latin America, have teaching experience with Heritage speakers, and provide evidence of potential for related scholarship.  Native or near-native fluency as well as demonstrated teaching competency in Spanish required.
