Lycoming College seeks candidates for the position of Project Coordinator. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the management and oversight of a Department of Justice/Office on Violence against Women grant recently received by the College to provide sexual violence/domestic and dating violence (SV/DV) victim services on campus. The Project Coordinator position is funded by this 3-year grant. The Project Coordinator oversight of the grant includes but is not limited to developing, coordinating and providing information, training and technical assistance to the Lycoming College Community and coordinating collaborative efforts with Williamsport community members to eliminate SV/DV and stalking. As well as, improve victim services to Lycoming College students. The project coordinator will work in collaboration with and under the supervision of the Associate Dean of Students.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; Masters preferred. The successful candidate will have worked directly with victim-survivors, understand trauma and trauma informed processes, and have worked towards cultural competency. The candidate will have experience as an advocate, staff member, or intern at a domestic violence/sexual violence program. At least one year of experience in these roles is preferred. A successful candidate will have knowledge of preventative programming and the applicable laws (e.g. VAWA) pertaining to SV/DV. Abilities required include computer skills (knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel; experience using email and internet), demonstrated professionalism; effective organizational and time management skills; effective interpersonal skills (listening, verbal/non-verbal and written communication skills), and be dependable.
