Lycoming College Student Health Insurance

It is the responsibility of each student to know and understand the type(s) of insurance(s) he/she holds. It is also the students responsibility to fill out and submit their own insurance claims.
 
 School Insurance

Whether students are covered under Plan I, II, III, IV all coverage is considered secondary. This means if any other coverage for that individual exists, bills must be submitted to that carrier first before being considered by the school insurance. Also note, like any other policy, there are limits on coverage. Brochures, as well as claim forms for the school insurance, are available in the Health Center or may also be obtained from the website www.BollingerInsurance.com/lycoming.  The toll free telephone number for Bollinger is 1-800-526-1379.  
 
 Managed Care (HMO, PPO, POS, ETC.)

Students covered under managed care systems are responsible for understanding that carriers' procedures for accessing health care. Some systems require "Pre-authorization" for visits to the emergency room or for laboratory testing. Students should review their policies well before any care is necessary.
