Apply Today to Be an SOS!

Applications are being accepted NOW for Summer 2013.

The Office of the Assistant Dean for Freshmen will be interviewing student candidates for Summer 2013 Orientation Staff (SOS) in early November. Being an SOS is an experience you will never forget, and our SOS are a very important part of Summer Orientation for new students.

Here's what past SOS have had to say about the job:

2012 SOS

Being an SOS member was the BEST college experience I have had at Lycoming, not only because it was so fun, but because it was rewarding.

Every summer I have had an excellent experience with the staff and incoming freshmen. Many of my SOS groups have become friends of mine too, and I love making these early connections.

I really felt that this opportunity helped me grow socially and helped my communications skills. I got to learn a lot more about the professors in my department and learn more about our school. I made great friends with the SOS staff and many freshmen.

I had a lot of fun, made new friends and strengthened existing friendships. I learned more about our college and truly feel as if I helped incoming students.
