Learn the basics of Japanese Taiko, a neo-traditional

style of drumming that combines movement and

percussion. This workshop is led by Urie Kline, Drum

Instructor in the Music Department whose weekly Taiko

classes are a unique offering at Lycoming.

Although no longer as popular and prevalent as in the

1960s, watching a movie outdoors at a drive-in theater

remains a unique experience. Tonight, we travel a

handful of miles to Pike Drive-In Theater in Montgomery,

Pa. Movie TBA.

Alumna Kristen Whitehead has put her foundation in

STEM to work at Lycoming Engines. Lycoming is a major

American manufacturer of aircraft engines. Head-

quartered in Williamsport, Pa., Lycoming

produces a line of horizontally opposed, air-cooled,

four-, six- and eight-cylinder engines including the only

FAA-certified aerobatic and helicopter piston engines on

the market. Kristen welcomes us for a tour of this unique

company.
