Our 7 mile guided kayaking trip down the scenic and

historic Susquehanna River with Allan, Betsy and Jeremy

Quant from Canoe Susquehanna will introduce us to local

wildlife and history. Be certain to wear a swimming suit and

water shoes or sneakers.

Are You Digging It?

Robin Van Auken, Adjunct Faculty in American

Archaeology, will lead us on a tour of Canfield Island in

Loyalsock Township, Pa., share with us the history of this

region, teach us some digging skills, and then put us

to work at a local archaeological excavation site. The site

is officially registered with the Smithsonian as “Glunk

Site, 36LY0345.”

Downtown Williamsport is a hub of businesses, small

shops, coffee and tea rooms, cool restaurants, theater,

and arts. Today we’ll check some of it out.
