Robin Van Auken, Adjunct Faculty in American
Archaeology, will lead us on a tour of Canfield Island in
Loyalsock Township, Pa., share with us the history of this
region, teach us some digging skills, and then put us
to work at a local archaeological excavation site. The site
is officially registered with the Smithsonian as “Glunk

1:30 - 4:30 PM An Afternoon Strolling the Avenue of the Arts
Downtown Williamsport is a hub of businesses, small
shops, coffee and tea rooms, cool restaurants, theater,
and arts. Today we’ll check some of it out.

Originally constructed during the roaring 1920’s, this
magnificent state-of-the-art theater now stands as a
symbol of and home for Williamsport’s impressive and
diverse arts scene, welcoming touring productions and
