The Lycoming College Endowment Funding the Future

The endowment is the financial foundation upon which the institution's future lies and a true indicator of its strength. In 1990 Lycoming's endowment stood at less than $20 million. Thanks to the generous support of our donors and strong fiscal leadership, the endowment has increased to more than $140 million. Gifts to endowments are permanently invested funds which provide a portion of investment return each year for a named purpose for perpetuity. Endowed funds can provide for scholarships, academic programs, faculty development and other areas as designated by the donors.

  • Academic Programs - Gifts to academic programs strengthen the College's mission of providing a distinguished baccalaureate education in liberal arts.
  • Faculty Development - One of the things that set Lycoming apart from many peer colleges is its outstanding faculty. To stay competitive, we must provide opportunities for existing faculty to grow as teachers and scholars.
