Directory information may include your name, parents’ name(s), local and home address and telephone numbers, e-mail address, date and place of birth, major field of study, class year, information related to participation in officially recognized activities and sports, dates of attendance, degrees, class rank to be used in determining eligibility for honors and awards and activities. This hold will remain in place until you complete the appropriate form to remove it.
ID Card
Student ID cards are automatically activated for the Fall Semester for all students who have registered for classes and satisfied their financial obligation. You will need a valid ID to gain entry to your residence hall as well as the Academic Center, Heim, Fine Arts Building, Communications Building, Wertz Student Center, and Clarke Chapel as well as the dining room. If you have lost your ID card, you will need to go to the Safety and Security Officer to replace it after paying the lost card fee at the Business office. Lost cards will be replaced for a charge of $20.00
Vehicle Registration
All vehicles owned and/or operated by currently enrolled students must be registered with the Department of Safety and Security. Parking decals may be purchased at the Department of Safety and Security located in the lower level of Rich Hall, weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or on Sunday, August 26, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Your account will be billed for the parking fee. No money will be required at the Safety and Security Office. Your driver’s license and vehicle registration card are required to register a vehicle. Obtaining a parking decal does not guarantee a parking space.
E-MAIL
If you already have a Lycoming College e-mail account, you should continue using the same address when you return to campus. If you do not currently have a Lycoming College e-mail account, you will need to contact ITS (ext. 4150 or help@lycoming.edu) immediately when you return to campus. ITS will schedule you for a mandatory e-mail orientation and, once you complete the orientation, you will be assigned a Lycoming College e-mail account.
Flex Dollars
You will begin each semester with an amount of $75, $100, or $150 flex dollars (depending on which meal plan you have selected) which can be used in the dining room for guests, Jack’s Corner and Café 1812. Flex Dollars is another feature adding flexibility to your dining options and is yours to spend like cash at all Campus Dining locations. As an extra perk, Flex Dollars are tax exempt. Flex Dollars carry over from fall to spring, but expire on the last day of the spring semester.
Meals
Students returning to campus on Saturday will be able to eat in the College Dining Room by showing a valid College ID. (see “ID Cards” above). Additionally, Café 1812 will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on August 26 as a service to students and parents.
In Case Of Campus-wide Emergency
The College has installed an emergency siren that will be activated in cases of campus-wide emergencies such as a hazardous material, hostile events, or a weather emergency (tornado). We strongly encourage you to subscribe to the College’s emergency alert system so that you will receive a text message to your cell phone should such an emergency occur. You can subscribe to the Lyco Emergency Alert System in WebAdvisor.
You are encouraged to become familiar with the College’s emergency procedures at http://www.lycoming.edu/emergencyPreparedness/referencePage.aspx
