Red Cross Armed Forces Emergency Services (AFES)
The Red Cross is looking for volunteers for its Armed Forces Emergency Services (AFES). People agree to take call while the Red Cross office is closed (usually 5pm to 8am). Most people volunteer for 1 night a month. This is a notification and verification service for our people in the military. This serves to notify service members of situations such as births, deaths, and serious illness and in some cases enables them to be granted emergency leave. We desperately need volunteers.
