Intramural

    • Male Intramural Sports Athlete of the Year: Given to the person with the greatest contribution to the Intramural Sports program through participation and leadership.
    • Female Intramural Sports Athlete of the Year: Given to the person with the greatest contribution to the Intramural Sports program through participation and leadership.

Community Service

    • Outstanding Service Event Award: Given to an individual or organization that sponsors an event that offers members of the Lycoming Community the opportunity to volunteer for a particular cause or agency. This award is to be distinguished from the Fundraising Program Award in that the program provides the opportunity for people to volunteer direct service, without involving the raising of funds.
    • Outstanding Fundraising Event Award: Given to an individual or organization that has raised money or special items, such as food, for a particular charity or foundation. The charity/foundation can be local or national, and the "event" can be one day or over a period of time. This award is to be distinguished from the Service Program Award in that it specifically reflects the ability to organize and fund raise effectively in either the Lycoming or Williamsport Communities.
    • Volunteer of the Year Award: Given to an individual or member of an organization who has regularly offered themselves to Lyco and the Wmspt. Community in service to others and serves as a role model for service to the community. This award will be given to a person selected from the nominees of the Outstanding Individual Award.
    • Outstanding Community Service Award for an Organization: Given to an organization who consistently offers themselves in service to others and serves as a role model for service to the community. Quality of service is emphasized over quantity of programs/projects. Students in nominated organizations are still eligible for the Volunteer of the Year Award.

Student Programs

    • Student Organization of the Year: This award is given to a recognized student club or organization that has made outstanding contributions to the Lycoming College community through campus involvement, involvement in community service endeavors, and organizational events and activities. The group should also make progress through good recruitment, and retention of members and also developing its members through leadership training opportunities.
    • Outstanding Leader on Campus: This award is given to the outstanding student leader on campus that has demonstrated positive impact on campus through their current and on-going campus involvement and leadership positions held. The winner should also have demonstrated leadership and civic responsibility through the impact of their services to others and the community while at the same time maintaining a high level of academic achievement.
    • Outstanding Program of the Year: This award is given for the outstanding program or event of the year that has had shown great appeal to the Lycoming College community through creative selection, promotion and implementation.
    • Student Organization Advisor of the Year: This award is given to the club or organization advisor who has shown outstanding service and commitment to their organization through the development and training of their members and leaders in support of the goals and endeavors of the organization.

    • IFC Spirit Award: This award will be given to the fraternity man who best portrays a positive Greek Image on campus. This person is constantly enthusiastic about Fraternity Life and possesses a "Go Greek" attitude.
    • IFC Service Award: This award will be given to the fraternity man who has contributed countless time and hours to the fraternity system. Please explain below (or on an attached page) why you feel this person is deserving of the IFC Service Award. Please include what service projects he has participated in and outside the fraternity. Also, what projects he has organized. Please ask nominee the following questions:
      • What motivates you to do community service?
      • How do you motivate others to do community service?
    • IFC Scholar of the Year: This award will be given to the fraternity man who portrays academic excellence. Please explain below (or on an attached paper) why you feel this person is deserving of the IFC Scholar of the Year Award. Please include all related activities (tutoring, scholarships, etc.) Please ask the nominee the following question:
      • How do you incorporate academics in fraternity and sorority life?
    • Fraternity Man of the Year: This award will be given to the fraternity man who displays a strong commitment and makes significant contributions to the Fraternity and Sorority system, the College, and the Community. This person would also display leadership through holding positions in IFC or one’s chapter. He should serve as a role model for all Fraternity and Sorority Members and display the traits of honesty, loyalty, open-mindedness, respect, and concern for others. This man should also display motivation and good character.

    • Panhellenic Spirit Award: This award will be given to the sorority woman who best portrays a positive Greek Image on campus. This person is constantly enthusiastic about Sorority Life and possesses a "Go Greek" attitude.
    • Panhellenic Service Award: This award will be given to the sorority woman who has contributed countless time and hours to the sorority system. Please explain below (or on an attached page) why you feel this person is deserving of the Panhellenic Service Award. Please include what service projects she has participated in and outside the sorority. Also, what projects she has organized. Please ask nominee the following questions:
      • What motivates you to do community service?
      • How do you motivate others to do community service?
      • How do you incorporate academics in fraternity and sorority life?

This person would also display leadership through holding positions in Panhellenic or one’s chapter. She should serve as a role model for all Fraternity and Sorority Members and display the traits of honesty, loyalty, open-mindedness, respect, and concern for others. This woman should also display motivation and good character.

Fraternity/Sorority

    • Fraternity/Sorority Advisor of the Year: This award goes to the Fraternity or Sorority Advisor that displays commitment to the organization. They should be available to students and have exceptional methods of leadership and training. They should exhibit good resource and support skills and show support to all student endeavors. This advisor should also display a strong commitment and their significant contributions to the Fraternity/Sorority system, the College, and the community. They must display the traits of honesty, loyalty, open-mindedness, respect, and concern for others. This advisor must also display motivation and good character.
    • Chapter of the Year Award: Presented to the chapter that best demonstrates the ideals of Fraternity/Sorority Life: scholarship, service, brotherhood/sisterhood, and leadership.
