Intramural

    • Male Intramural Sports Athlete of the Year: Given to the person with the greatest contribution to the Intramural Sports program through participation and leadership.
    • Female Intramural Sports Athlete of the Year: Given to the person with the greatest contribution to the Intramural Sports program through participation and leadership.

Nominate for this Category

Community Service

    • Outstanding Service Event Award: Given to the organizers of an event that offers students the opportunity to volunteer for a particular cause or agency. (Please note that all events which raise funds or collect items should be nominated under the “Fundraising Event” category)
    • Outstanding Fundraising Event Award: Given to an individual or organization that has raised money or special items, such as food, for a particular charity or foundation. The charity/foundation can be local or national, and the "event" can be one day or over a period of time.
    • Volunteer of the Year Award: Given to an individual or member of an organization who has regularly offered themselves to Lyco and the Wmspt. Community in service to others and serves as a role model for service to the community. Awarded to a person selected from the nominees of the Outstanding Individual Award.
    • Outstanding Community Service Award for an Organization: Given to an organization who consistently offers themselves in service to others and serves as a role model for service to the community. Quality of service is emphasized over quantity of programs/projects. Students in nominated organizations are still eligible for the Volunteer of the Year Award.

Student Involvement

    • Student Organization of the Year: Awarded to a recognized student club or organization that has made outstanding contributions to the Lycoming College community through campus involvement, involvement in community service endeavors, and organizational events and activities. The group should also make progress through good recruitment, and retention of members and also developing its members through leadership training opportunities.
    • Outstanding Leader on Campus: Awarded to the outstanding student leader on campus that has demonstrated positive impact on campus through their current and on-going campus involvement and leadership positions held. The winner should also have demonstrated leadership and civic responsibility through the impact of their services to others and the community while at the same time maintaining a high level of academic achievement.
    • Outstanding Program of the Year: Awarded for the outstanding program or event of the year that has had shown great appeal to the Lycoming College community through creative selection, promotion and implementation.
    • Student Organization Advisor of the Year: Awarded to the club or organization advisor who has shown outstanding service and commitment to their organization through the development and training of their members and leaders in support of the goals and endeavors of the organization.

Interfraternity Council

    • IFC Spirit Award: Awarded to the fraternity man who best portrays a positive Greek Image on campus. This person is constantly enthusiastic about Fraternity Life and possesses a positive attitude.
    • IFC Service Award: Awarded to the fraternity man who has contributed meaningful service to the fraternity system. The nominee will also be asked the following questions:
      • What motivates you to do community service?
      • How do you motivate others to do community service?
    • IFC Scholar of the Year: Awarded to the fraternity man who portrays academic excellence. The nominee will also be asked the following question:
      • How do you incorporate academics in fraternity and sorority life?
    • Fraternity Man of the Year: Awarded to the fraternity man who makes significant contributions to the Fraternity and Sorority system, the College, and the community. The nominee should be a role model of character, leadership, honesty, loyalty, open-mindedness, respect, and concern for others. This person would also display leadership through holding positions in IFC or one’s chapter.

    • Panhellenic Spirit Award: Awarded to the sorority woman who best portrays a positive Greek Image on campus. This person is constantly enthusiastic about Sorority Life and possesses a positive attitude.
    • Panhellenic Service Award: Awarded to the sorority woman who has contributed meaningful service to the sorority systemThe nominee will also be asked the following questions:

    • Panhellenic Scholar of the Year: Awarded to the sorority woman who portrays academic excellence. The nominee will be asked the following question:

    • Sorority Woman of the Year: Awarded to the sorority woman who makes significant contributions to the Fraternity and Sorority system, the College, and the Community. The nominee should be a role model of character, leadership, honesty, loyalty, open-mindedness, respect, and concern for others. This person would also display leadership through holding positions in IFC or one’s chapter.

    • Fraternity/Sorority Advisor of the Year: This award goes to the Fraternity or Sorority Advisor that displays commitment to the organization. They should be available to students and have exceptional methods of leadership and training. They should exhibit good resource and support skills and show support to all student endeavors. This advisor should also display good character and significant contributions to the Fraternity/Sorority system, the College, and the community.
    • Chapter of the Year Award: Presented to the chapter that best demonstrates the ideals of Fraternity/Sorority Life: scholarship, service, brotherhood/sisterhood, and leadership.
