Students currently enrolled at a post-secondary school in Pennsylvania are invited to submit a film or animated work for Lycoming College’s 10th annual Student Film and Video Festival. Submissions are free and due by midnight on June 2.

Photographer to share rewards and challenges of documenting humanitarian and conflict stories in lecture at Lycoming College

Andrew Stanbridge, a photographer who captures humanitarian, conflict and environmental stories from around the globe, will discuss the rewards and challenges of his profession during a presentation from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on April 24. The lecture, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the lecture hall in the Fine Arts Center on the Lycoming College campus.

Tom Woodruff Jr. ’80, an actor and special effects creator, will discuss his creative work and Hollywood career during a presentation at 5:30 p.m. on March 20 in the Fine Arts Lecture Hall on the Lycoming College campus. The presentation is free and open to the public.

Lycoming College will present the artwork of Daniel Smith in the Digital Media Gallery from Feb. 9 through March 20. The public is welcome to attend a free opening day reception on Feb. 9 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the gallery, which is in the Communication Building on Basin Street.

For third year in a row, Lycoming College students earn award from state-wide association

Two Lycoming College students garnered the attention of the Pennsylvania Association of Colleges and Employers for their work capturing the heart of Williamsport. The pair earned the “JoAnne Day Student of the Year Award” in the liberal arts category from the association in December for community stories they obtained during a summer internship with the Susquehanna Greenway Partnership.

Lycoming College will present the artwork of Ben Sloat in the Digital Media Gallery from Sept. 22 through Nov. 14. The public is welcome to attend a free opening day reception on Sept. 22 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the gallery, which is in the Mass Communication Building on Basin Street.
