Film and Video Arts
If you are interested in digital filmmaking including narrative or documentary filmmaking, 2D animation, stop motion animation, motion graphics, or video art and installation video, then this is the program for you.
Curriculum in the Film and Video Arts Program in the Department of Communication includes various levels of production, editing, animation, film studies, and art history courses that help you develop technical skills as well as your creative vision, while art and design courses help you develop your talents in photography, graphic and commercial design.
Film and Video Arts courses embedded in your Lycoming liberal arts education is a smart combination. Just ask Christina Moliterno, motion graphics animator for Rockstar Games; Elaine Seward, Senior Video Producer for the American Chemistry Society; Amanda Vicari, production assistant for the HBO Documentary, "Lady Gaga Presents the Monster Ball at Madison Square Garden”; or Bart Makatche, executive producer at Nancy Glass Productions (Animal Planet, Fix This Yard, Kitchen Impossible).
