Research: Inorganic Synthesis, Crystallography, and
Computational Chemistry
Synthetic research follows a two-fold course: synthesis of
novel compounds of the early transition-metals, and the determination of
their structures by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Current projects
involve making soluble mixed-metal selenides of molybdenum,
crystallography, and study of crystal growth, polyoxometallates, and gel
diffusion. In addition, computational studies using the HyperChem
program have looked at molecular conformational energies and modeling
organic molecules for the Chemistry Department's 3-D Molecules page.

- One of the cool things about the Internet is that you are
suddenly linked to sources of information all over the world. Naturally
I have no control over the information in those resources and
am not responsible for any of the materials in them.
