Lycoming College encourages students to participate in a study abroad program, with opportunities ranging from May Terms (a unique offering at Lycoming) and summer sessions to a full semester or academic year overseas. Students who intend to study abroad must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.50 or higher. All overseas programs require prior approval from the students’ major departments, the Director of International Education, the Dean of Students and the Registrar. More information on the application process is available here.
Note: To receive transferable credit for your study abroad experience, your study abroad application MUST be approved in advance.
Lycoming College has cooperative arrangements with five institutions overseas. Course offerings vary at each institution. Students interested in programs in Spain, Ecuador and Costa Rica (Estudio Sampere), France (CUEF) and Germany (Bamberg) should contact the Department of Modern Language Studies. Students interested in the London Programs should contact: Westminster: Dr. Bonita Kolb, Regents: Dr. Barbara Buedel.
NOTE: Lycoming College cannot assume responsibility for the health, safety or welfare of students engaged in or en route to or from any off-campus studies or activities which are not under its exclusive jurisdiction.
