• Encourage your student to visit Career Services early and often so that he or she can become familiar with career-related resources available at Lycoming College. 
• Advise your student to consider summer employment and to begin developing a resume.
• Challenge your student to explore and research careers of interest.
• Allow your student to make his or her own career-related decisions.
• Emphasize the importance of experiential education opportunities such as participation in a shadowing opportunity, summer employment, service learning, study abroad and internships.
• Encourage and support extracuricular involvement on campus.
