The Underpants By Carl Sternheim Adapted by Steve Martin Direction by Jerry D. Allen November 30, December 1 and 6-8 at 8:00 P.M. Mary L. Welch Theatre Based on Carl Sternheim's 1910 comedy, Steve Martin has reinvigorated a hilarious, laugh-out-loud farce. As the play opens, we discover that Louise allowed her titular underpands to fall to the ground a a parad for the King. Scandal erupts with off-the-wall humor, wordplay, and masterful banter. Suitable for ages 13 and above.
	Independence By Lee Blessing Direction by Grechen Lynne Wingerter February 8-9 and 14-16 at 8:00 P.M. Mary L. Welch Theatre A powerful, disturbing study of a family divided against itself in Independence, Iowa. The play blends humor and poignancy as the characters probe for th epersonal thruths they desperately need in order to discover their sense of independence. Suitable for ages 13 and above.
Machinal By Sophie Treadwell Direction by N.J. Stanley April 11-12 and 17-19 at 8:00 P.M. Mary L. Welch Theatre Inspired by the notorious American murderess Ruth Snyder, who killed her husband in the 1920s, this Expressionistic play profiles a young woman who is crushed by the machine-like pressures of our industrialized world. Suitable for ages 13 and above.
