Text Box: A field-oriented course where students study the creatures of the fringing reefs, barrier reefs, lagoons, turtlegrass beds and mangrove swamps at a tropical marine laboratory. Prerequisites: BIO 110-111. Or consent of instructor. Scuba diving not required, although it will be available if you are certified (Lycoming College offers PADI certification each semester). Classes will be held at Lycoming college and for 8-10 days at the Roatan Institute for Marine Sciences (RIMS) at Anthony’s Key Resort. RIMS maintains a dolphin educational and research experience. See Dr. Zimmerman for additional details.
