WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—Lycoming College’s women’s tennis team fell to the University of Scranton on Saturday by a score of nine games to none.
In #1 doubles sophomore Amiee Snyder (Kempton, PA) and freshman Rebecca Reynolds (Williamsport, PA) lost 8-2, while the Lady Warriors’ #2 team of Kelly Drinkard (Seaville, NJ) and Erika Niemann (Taylor, MI) fell 8-1. At #3, Jessica Souchik (Lewis Run, PA) and Kirstie McKeever (Blossburg, PA) fell 8-0.
In singles, Snyder lost to Scranton’s #1 6-3, 6-3, while Reynolds fell 6-0, 6-1. Niemann dropped the #3 match 6-1, 6-0, while Drinkard went down 6-1, 6-1. Souchik lost 6-2, 6-0 and McKeever fell at #6 6-0, 6-0.
Lycoming’s young roster hopes to rebound on Tuesday, September 25 at PSU-Harrisburg. The matches start at 3:30 p.m.
