
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—Lycoming’s women’s tennis team (1-3, 0-2) lost to Messiah 8-1 on Thursday, September 20. Lycoming’s number-two doubles team of Kelly Drinkard (Seaville, NJ) and Erika Niemann (Taylor, MI) grabbed the Lady Warriors’ only win 8-6.
Lycoming’s #1 Amie Snyder (Kempton, PA) fell 6-2, 6-1, while #2 Rebecca Reynolds (South Williamsport, PA) lost 6-1, 6-2. Number-six Emily Ruhl (Williamsport, PA) put up a strong match, tying her opponent at one game with a 6-4 win in the second. However, Messiah’s Steph Knepper won the tie-breaker 10-7.
The Lady Warriors hit the courts again on Saturday, September 22 at Scranton. The matches start at 1:00 p.m.
