Pepe named Keeper of the Week

Brie PepeANNVILLE, Pa. – Brie Pepe has been named the Commonwealth Conference Goalkeeper of the Week for her performance during the week ending Oct. 26.

Pepe, a junior from Lafayette, N.J., allowed no goals in two games during the week. She made three saves in a 110 minute 0-0 tie against Baptist Bible on Oct. 23 and then earned a 1-0 shutout victory against Lebanon Valley on Oct. 25. She made four saves in that contest as the Lady Warriors improved to 2-2-1 in the conference. It is the first time since 2004 that Lycoming has won more than one conference game.

The women’s team sits in a three-way tie for second-place in the conference with seven points. Other games throughout the week will make Saturday’s game at Widener a crucial game in deciding the playoff fate of each team.

The women’s game will kickoff at 2 p.m. on Saturday, followed by the men’s game at 4:30 p.m.
