ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lycoming midfielder Bekah Shipe has been named the Commonwealth Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for her performance against Albright on Saturday, Oct. 11.

Shipe, a senior from Northumberland, Pa., scored both goals in the Lady Warriors 2-0 win against Albright over the weekend. The goals were her team-leading seventh and eighth of the season and propelled the team to its first conference win since Oct. 18, 2006.

For her efforts, Shipe was named Warrior co-Athlete of the Week by the Lycoming sports information office (sharing the honor with men’s soccer player Chris Lorenzet).

With the win, Lycoming improved to 4-4-3 overall and 1-0-1 in the conference.

The Lady Warriors will travel to Elizabethtown on Wednesday, Oct. 15, for a 4:30 p.m. kickoff.
