Wallenhorst earns All-America honors

WallenhorstWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Senior Megan Wallenhorst was named third team All-America by both the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association and www.WomensLacrosse.com after leading the Lady Warriors for the fourth consecutive season.

Wallenhorst garners the first third team honor of her career from the IWLCA and picks up second consecutive honor from the internet site www.WomensLacrosse.com.

A native of Rochester, N.Y., Wallenhorst has been adding to her accomplishments since the season ended. She earned first team All-Region honors from the IWLCA for the second time and was named the team’s best offensive player by head coach Kara Reber.

Wallenhorst graduated as Lycoming’s all-time career scoring leader with 233 goals and 276 points. She led the team in her senior season with 56 goals, 75 points and 77 shots on goal, marking her fourth consecutive season as the Lady Warriors’ leading scorer.

Along with her postseason honors, she will play in one final collegiate lacrosse game after being selected to play on the South Team in the annual IWLCA North/South All-Star game. That contest will take place in Downingtown, Pa. on June 14.
