YORK, Pa.—Lycoming’s women’s basketball team (3-1) fell to York College (4-0) by a score of 74-50 on Monday, November 26. For the Lady Warriors, it was the first loss out of four road games to start the season.
Lycoming sophomore Samantha Ruby (Thomasville, PA) hit three out of five three-point attempts and sank all three of her fouls shots for a team-high 12 points. Freshman center Kaitlyn Ober (Lititz, PA) and junior guard Andrea Cooper (Hollidaysburg, PA) each had eight points. Sophomore forward Becky Leid (Denver, PA) pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.
However, despite these excellent efforts, the Lady Warriors couldn’t contain Kristen Daly who recorded 20 points on the evening. Her teammates April Sparkman and Amanda Andrews notched 12 and 11 respectively. The Lady Spartans, who have topped 80 twice already this season, were held below their team scoring average.
