CHESTER, Pa.—Lycoming’s women’s basketball team fell at Widener on Saturday by a score of 69-56 in conference game. The Lady Warriors are now 1-1 in Commonwealth play.
Junior forward Andrea Cooper (Hollidaysburg, Pa.) led Lycoming with 19 points, hitting a pair of three-point shots. Sophomore forward Jessica Nabholz (Cressona, Pa.) was perfect on six foul shots on her way to 12 points for the game. Nabholz also grabbed a team-high nine rebounds, barely missing her third straight game with a double double.
Sophomore forward Becky Leid (Denver, Pa.) pulled down eight rebounds, while compiling seven points. Sophomore point guard Jessica Zerbee (Duncansville, Pa.) scored eight points, including two three-pointers.
Widener got 24 points from Rayne Reber, while Emily Brill scored 11 and grabbed nine rebounds.
The Lady Warriors travel to Messiah on Wednesday, Jan. 30 for a 6 p.m. game. Messiah dwelled in the D3Hoops.com top-5 all season, but fell to #11 last week after its second loss.
