WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—Lycoming’s women’s basketball team (4-2) fell to King’s College on Monday, December 3 by a score of 53-31. The Lady Warriors shot a disappointing 22% from the floor and 19% from three-point range.
Sophomore Alicia Engler (Williamsport, PA) led Lycoming with 11 points and seven rebounds, hitting one three-pointer and all four of her foul shots. Unfortunately, she was the only Lady Warrior who scored in double digits. Sophomore Allison Mock (State College, PA) hit two three-pointers.
Meanwhile, four Lady Monarchs reached double figures, led by Kaitlyn Fiorino with 18 points. Fiorino hit four from beyond the arc and grabbed nine rebounds.
Despite shooting 20.8% in the first twenty minutes, Lycoming kept the game within seven, 23-16, at halftime. But the Lady Warriors could not raise their game in the second period and scored just 15 more points. Lycoming had 26 turnovers for the game, while King’s committed 22.
The Lady Warriors travel to Susquehanna on Thursday night for a 6:00 p.m. game. It will be their last game before a New Year’s trip to Phoenix, Arizona for the Grand Canyon Classic.
