READING, Pa.—Lycoming College’s women’s basketball team (10-12, 1-7) lost to Albright
(19-4) on Saturday by a score of 77-47 at Bollman Center. With the win, the Lady Lions established a new Albright record for wins in a season.
The Lady Warriors did not convert a field goal for the first 13:55 of the game, but went 6-of-6 from the foul line during that span. Junior Andrea Cooper (Hollidaysburg, Pa.) broke Lycoming’s dry spell when she hit a runner in the lane with 6:05 remaining in the first half. At the break, Albright led 40-14.
Sophomore Amanda Hart (State College, Pa.) led the Lady Warriors with 11 points, while sophomore point guard Jessica Zerbee (Duncansville, Pa.) scored eight.
Bre Dillon had 17 points for the Lady Lions and Stacy Waligorski scored 16.
Lycoming travels next to Elizabethtown on Tuesday, Feb. 19 for a 6 p.m. tip-off. The Lady Warriors then return home for their final game of the season against Lebanon Valley on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 1 p.m.
