ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Lycoming College volleyball team placed second in the Hartwick Tournament, which concluded on Saturday, Oct. 18. The Lady Warriors defeated Utica to advance to the championship game before falling to St. Lawrence in the final.

Heather Frantz (Pine Grove, Pa.) was named to the All-Tournament team for her performance in the tournament.

Lycoming opened the second day of competition with a four-set win (20-25, 25-10, 25-22, 25-22) against Utica to advance to the finals.

In the finals, the Lady Warriors dropped a three-set decision (20-25, 10-25, 14-25) to St. Lawrence. It was their second loss to St. Lawrence in the tournament after dropping the opening match on Friday night, 3-1.

Lycoming (13-17, 0-4 Commonwealth) will continue the Commonwealth Conference schedule on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Widener. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
