ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lycoming College junior Heather Frantz was named the Commonwealth Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for her efforts during the first week of September. The honor was announced by the league office on Monday, Sept. 8.

Frantz, a native of Pine Grove, Pa., led the Lady Warriors with 36 kills in five matches throughout the week, an average of 2.25 kills per set. She was second on the team in digs, only to the libero, recording 52 digs (3.25 per set). She also recorded four service aces and four blocks during the week.

Frantz’s best performance of the week came on Saturday, Sept. 6, when she posted 10 kills against Cortland while hitting .333 with one block, one ace and eight digs in the match.

The honor is the first of her career and is the first for the Lady Warriors this season.

Lycoming (5-3) will travel to Lancaster Bible on Wednesday, Sept. 10, for a 7 p.m. match.
