WOOSTER, Ohio - A small travel team of Lycoming swimmers visited
the three-day Wooster Invitational this weekend (November 29 through
December 1). Their focus was on individual times, and not necessarily
team scoring. Lycoming did not enter any relays.
With the competition wide open and talented, sophomore Milvana Ban finished an elite fourth place in the women's 400-yard individual medley. Freshman Joe Kuder took 15th for the men. Junior Jessie Gallagher snagged 11th in the women's 100-yard butterfly and, for the men, Brian Fausel took 12th.
In the 100-yard backstroke, Lady Warriors Steph Conrad, Caroline LeHota and Nichole Zoller placed 11th, 13th and 15th respectively. Warrior Sean Houser took 10th place.
Freshman Meg Emery and sophomore Ban finished 15th and 16th in the women's 500-yard freestyle, while freshman Dave Zablocki and sophomore John Dougherty were 20th and 21st in the men's.
Sophomore Caroline LeHota placed 22nd in the 50-yard sprint, while freshman Ryan Adamson and sophomore Sean Houser were 14th and 19th for the men.
In the women's 200-yard free, Emery took 15th, while Dougherty placed 17th for the men. Junior Kirsten Snyder grabbed 17th in the women's 100-yard breaststroke.
In the 1650 free, senior Holly Miller finished in 21st place, while Kuder took 20th.
