WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—Lycoming’s swim teams celebrated Senior Day on Saturday, while sweeping conference foe Lebanon Valley in a dual meet. The Lady Warriors won by a score of 156-91 and the Warriors defeated the Dutchmen 142-112.
Captain Holly Miller (Lykens, Pa.), Maria Millen (Berea, Ohio) and Amanda Guminski (Ambler, Pa.) were honored as Lycoming’s graduating seniors during the meet’s first break. Miller took third in the 50 and 200-yard freestyle races, while Guminski placed second in the 200-yard butterfly. Millen placed second in the 1000-yard freestyle to teammate Meg Emery (Burke, Va.). Emery also won the 500-yard free with Millen placing third.
Lady Warrior freshman Stacy Flick (Easton, Pa.) topped the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke, while Caroline LeHota (Bellefonte, Pa.)placed first in the 100 free and 100 backstroke. Milvana Ban (Harrisburg, Pa.) won the 200-yard freestlye and the 200-yard
backstroke. Jessie Gallagher (Cheltenham, Pa.) took first in the 200-yard butterfly and Nichole Zoller (Colonia N.J.) topped the women’s 50 free.
For the men, freshman Ryan Adamson (Warrington, Pa.) swam away with first place in the 50 and 100-yard freestyle races, while John Dougherty (Mountain Top, Pa.) edged Adamson for first in the 200 free. Sean Houser (Alexandria, Va.) won the 100-yard backstroke, while Brian Fausel (Burdett, N.Y.) topped the 200-yard butterfly. Dave Zablocki (Joppa, Md.) won the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke races, while Joe Kuder (Moorestown, N.J.) took the 500-yard freestyle.
Lycoming will now prepare for the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships, held at Wilkes-Barre’s Catholic Youth Center from Feb. 8-10. The blue and gold competed at the CYC on Jan. 16, sweeping conference opponents King’s and FDU-Florham.
