WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—Lycoming’s softball team lost both games of a doubleheader to conference opponent Lebanon Valley on Saturday. The result of the first game was 9-0, while the second contest finished with an 11-0 score. It was the final competition of the season for the Lady Warriors.
Junior Marissa Hastings (Old Forge, Pa.) and sophomore Jessica Nabholz (Cressona, Pa.) recorded Lycoming’s only two hits for the opener. Senior Nicole Rhodes (Julian, Pa.) took the loss with three innings of work. She gave way to sophomore Chelsie Apker (South Williamsport, Pa.) in the fourth and fifth.
In the second game, the Lady Warriors racked up seven hits, with senior Dana Marek (Bloomfield, N.J.) leading the way. In her final game in blue and gold, Marek led of the first, third and fifth innings with singles. Unfortunately, Lycoming could not push Marek across the plate, finishing with zero runs.
Nabholz started the game on the mound and took the loss. She was relieved by Apker in the fourth inning. Both players added a hit for the game, as did senior Hilarie Powers (Wellsboro, Pa.) and junior Lauren Carey (Old Forge, Pa.).
