ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lycoming College freshman Chris Burgess was named the Commonwealth Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Sept. 21. The honor, announced Monday, Sept. 22 by the conference office, is the first of his career.

Burgess, a native of Bel Air, Md., made his first collegiate start against Pitt-Bradford in a 5-1 Warrior victory on Wednesday, Sept. 17.

He followed that with a hat trick in a 4-0 win against Keystone on Saturday, Sept. 20, scoring three goals in his second collegiate start.

Lycoming sits at 4-2-1 overall and travels to Juniata for a non-conference game on Tuesday, Sept. 23. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
