WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Lycoming College men’s soccer coach Scott Kennell and Warrior athletes Matt Frey, Chris Lorenzet, and Joe Pusateri will represent the U.S. in the Bajan Summer Games, hosted throughout this week in Barbados.
Kennell was named head coach of the national team sponsored by USA Athletes International, a non-profit organization that facilitates amateur international competition.
The U.S. squad consists of the top collegiate talent in the country, including three Lycoming players. The tournament will be played at Barbados National Stadium in Bridgetown, Barbados, and all games will be aired on Barbados national television.
Lorenzet led the team in scoring in 2007, netting 10 goals with five assists for 25 points.
Pustateri and Frey each scored 11 points on the season. Pusateri posted four goals, including one game winner and three assists while Frey led the team with eight assists and netted three goals.
The U.S. team is scheduled to open competition against the host country on Monday, June 9 with the finals being held on June 14th.
