CARLISLE, Pa.—Lycoming’s men’s lacrosse team (0-3) lost its third game of the 2008 season on Wednesday. Dickinson scored six goals in the third period en route to a 16-9 victory.
The Warriors were led by senior Dan Cannon’s (Orangeville, Ont.) two goals and three assists. Sophomore Ed Williams (Florham Park, N.J.) also scored a pair of goals. Lycoming reeled off 10 shots in the first period, but were outshot 38-20 for the rest of the game.
Junior goalie Kyle Gilfoy (Exton, Pa.) recorded 12 saves for the blue and gold, including four in the second period. But the Red Devils were up 8-4 at halftime. Cannon scored his first goal of the contest less than 30 seconds into the second half off of a feed from Andrew Stoner (Orangeville, Ont.). However, Dickinson took control shortly thereafter. Gilfoy had five saves in the third period, but Red Devil Jon Schneider scored three of Dickinson’s six goals in that time to secure the win.
