BRADFORD, Pa.—Lycoming’s men’s basketball team lost 60-49 at Pitt-Bradford on Saturday, December 15. Down by just one point at halftime, 27-26, the Warriors shot 33.3% from the field in the second half.
Junior forward Greg Sye (Chantilly, VA) was virtually unstoppable before fouling out late in the game. Sye scored 27 points, hitting 12 of 14 shots and grabbing eight rebounds. However, he was the only Warrior to reach double digit points. Senior Kevin Morris (Camp Hill, PA) was the next-highest scorer for Lycoming with eight points. Morris was four for four from the foul line.
Pitt-Bradford’s Shawn Spindler put up 14 points, while Vince Antonioli and Jess Whelan notched 12 and 10 points, respectively. The Panthers out-rebounded Lycoming 35 to 22, with 25 of Pitt-Bradford’s boards coming on defense.
The Warriors travel to New Jersey City University on Monday, December 17 for a 7 p.m. game. Earlier this season, Lycoming defeated NJCU 68-56 in Lamade Gymnasium.
