WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—Lycoming senior forward Kevin Morris (Camp Hill, Pa.) received first-team men’s basketball ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District II honors as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Morris majors in political science at the College, with a minor in American history. He has made dean’s list every semester and is a member of the national political science honors society Pi Sigma Alpha. Morris plans to attend law school after graduation.
On the basketball court, Morris is a four-year starter, averaging more than 12 points per game. He was Lycoming’s co-MVP last season, along with teammate Greg Sye. Earlier this season, Morris scored his 1,000th career point.
Morris’ first-team all-district status makes him eligible for ESPN the Magazine/CoSIDA’s national Academic All-American team. Students nominated for Academic All-America must be at least a sophomore, start or play regularly for their respective sports team and uphold a minimum 3.20 cumulative grade point average. The national teams will be featured in ESPN the Magazine this spring.
