WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—Lycoming’s sophomore point guard Eric Anthony (Wheeling, W.V./ Wheeling Central Catholic) was named honorable mention Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week for his performances against Messiah College and Albright College last week.
Anthony led the Warriors with 20 points, including four three-pointers, and seven rebounds in the 79-68 loss to Messiah. He was 2-of-2 from the foul line and had two steals.
In a 76-53 victory against conference leader Albright, Anthony scored 14 points and hauled in a pair of rebounds. He also had four assists, while hitting all three of his free throws.
Anthony maintains a .912 free-throw percentage for the season and leads Lycoming with 14.3 points and 3.3 assists per game.
Anthony has claimed honorable mention Player of the Week twice this season.
