WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.–Three Lycoming men’s basketball players earned 2007-08 All-Commonwealth Conference recognition this week.
Lycoming sophomore point guard Eric Anthony (Wheeling, WV) was named first-team all-conference, following his debut season with the Warriors. He averages 14.4 points per game to lead the team, which ranks fourth in conference scoring. Anthony has hit 87.8 percent of his free throws to lead all Commonwealth players. He ranks sixth in 3-point accuracy, hitting 38.5 percent. Anthony earned Commonwealth Player of the Week recognition three times this season and collected the Most Valuable Player award at the University of Scranton’s Radisson Invitational in January.
Senior forward Kevin Morris (Camp Hill, Pa.) was named second-team All-Commonwealth Conference. Morris averages 13.2 points per game to rank sixth in the conference. He has recorded 10 or more points in 18 out of 26 contests this year, with a high of 30 points against Messiah College on Feb. 13. Morris scored the 1,000th point of his career on Dec. 4 against Elmira. He has earned Player of the Week once this season.
Junior forward Greg Sye (Chantilly, VA) was also named 2007-08 second-team All-Commonwealth Conference. Sye averages 11.1 points per game and is third in the conference with 6.1 rebounds per game. He recorded double-doubles against Penn College (10 points, 11 rebounds), Cabrini College (20, 10) and Elizabethtown (18, 10). Sye was named player of the week twice this year.
