“Tackle Breast Cancer” set for football game on Oct. 25

Tackle Breast CancerWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Lycoming College, in conjunction with the American Cancer Society, will host a “Tackle Breast Cancer” event on Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Warriors’ home football game against nationally ranked Delaware Valley College.

The ACS, along with the Lycoming women’s basketball team, Colleges Against Cancer and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, will host the event.

Both teams will wear pink ribbon stickers on their helmets during the game.

Fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of the cause.

The ACS will be selling T-shirts at the event.

Breast cancer survivors and their families from Lycoming County will be introduced and honored on the field at halftime.

Lycoming (4-2, 2-1 MAC) will square off against No. 22 Delaware Valley (4-2, 2-1 MAC) in a first-place Middle Atlantic Conference showdown.  

Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. from David Person Field.
