WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The 2008 edition of the Lycoming College football team officially opened the year on Friday with the annual media day event at David Person Field.

After a light workout in the morning, the Warrior players dressed into their uniforms and pads to have head shots, group photos and a team picture taken.

“This is a fun day for all the guys,” said first-year head coach Mike Clark. “A lot of the younger guys have never been exposed to a media day at the college level and I think the team has a lot of fun with this event.”

Players and coaches met with local media throughout the event and also took photos with a group of individuals currently enrolled in a program with Hope Enterprises, Inc., which works to build career development skills for local adults with developmental disabilities.

“That was the best part of the day,” added Clark. “Seeing the smiles on those individuals’ faces is what really made the event special for the team.”

The Warriors will open the season on Sept. 6 at Ithaca and will play their first home game on Sept. 20 against Susquehanna.
