WILKES-BARRE, Pa.—Lycoming College swimming coach Jerry Hammaker surpassed 100 career wins as his teams swept King’s and FDU-Florham on Wednesday. Hammaker’s women’s team defeated FDU-Florham 97-23 and King’s 97-25, while the men beat FDU 94-26 and King’s 98-24.

The seventh-year head coach won his 50th women’s meet on Nov.16, when the Lady Warriors topped Ursinus 104-80. The men reached 50 wins on Wednesday with their dual victories. Hammaker’s overall record at Lycoming is now 103-40 after the clean sweep at the C.Y.C. Previous to the meet, the women were 51-19 and the men were 48-21 under Hammaker.
The Lady Warriors placed first in every category in both meets on Wednesday, while the men won all but three. Flick also won the 100-yard breaststroke. Freshman Meg Emery (Burke, Va.) won the 200-yard backstroke and the 500 and 100-yard freestyle races, while junior Milvana Ban (Harrisburg, Pa.) took first in both the 100 and 200 free.
For the men, freshman Ryan Adamson (Warrington, Pa.) won the 50, 100 and 200-yard freestyle events.Junior Brian Fausel (Burdett, N.Y.) topped the 100 and 200-yard butterfly, while sophomore Sean Houser (Alexandria, Va.) won the 100 and 200-yard backstroke.
"One hundred total wins is a great threshold for any coach to reach, especially for a sport with so few meets each season," said Hammaker. "I am so thankful for all of the outstanding student-athletes and assistant coaches that I have been blessed to work with since arriving at Lycoming. They deserve as much credit as I personally receive from reaching 100 wins. The fact that both the women's and the men's teams hit their 50-win thresholds in the same season shows how both teams have almost equally contributed to overall during my coaching tenure. I'm also thankful for having such a great role model, mentor, and boss in Frank Girardi over these seasons. He has always been here to provide me with needed insight and guidance. I know that my knowledge of the sport and my coaching style have both evolved while I've been at Lycoming. I just hope that we continue to have this level of success for many years to come."
Lycoming will suit up for its final home meet on Saturday, Jan. 19 in Lamade Natatorium against conference foes Lebanon Valley at 1 p.m.
