The Art History major provides excellent preparation for graduate study in art history and related disciplines, including museum studies, archaeology and history. Some students double major in Art History and Archaeology and take advantage of the opportunity to work on the college dig in Cyprus. Recent May Term Travel courses have allowed students to study Greek culture, Angkor Wat, Mayan temples, the Forbidden City and Great Wall of China. Every semester art history classes visit major museums in New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Pittsburgh or Washington D.C. Through internships in museums and galleries, art history students work with original works of art.
