Class of 2000:

Marcus Myers at the 1999 Ashkelon dig.
A double major in Archaeology and Religion, Marcus was the recipient of the 2000 Religion and Archaeology Award and the Eduardo Guerra Prize in Biblical Languages for Greek. Marcus is currently preparing for a career in Optometry, following a stint volunteering with Green Thumb.

Class of 2001:

	Sarah Rayner was so enchanted with Egypt after her 1999 Ashkelon dig that she decided to transfer to the American University at Cairo.
	Anri Weisel at the 2000 Megiddo dig. A double major in Soc/Anthro and Archaeology. What a smile!
	Carol Stich at the 2000 Megiddo dig. A double major in History and Archaeology, and graduate of the education program, now gainfully employed as a teacher.

Class of 2002:

	Colin Casler at the 2001 Athienou Cyprus dig, expenses paid by a grant from the NSF. Colin graduated with a double major in Archaeology and Religion, with special interest in Classical and underwater archaeology. Colin did a masters degree in classical archaeology at the University of Glasgow, following a stint of employment doing archaeological work in Maryland at Historic St. Mary's City, and then joined an archaeological survey of Sardinia. He was last heard from applying to law school. Congratulations!
	Holly Lehnig at the 2000 Megiddo dig. Holly graduated last year with a triple major in Astronomy, Physics and Archaeology. She was the recipient of the Eduardo Guerra Prize in Biblical Languages for Hebrew in 2001, and the Faculty Prize in Archaeology and Religion in 2002 (along with other prizes in Physics and Astronomy). At last sighting she was entering the Defense Language Institute in CA to study Arabic, planning to go into intelligence work for the Army.
	Tressa Nolan at the 2001 Idalion Cyprus dig. Tressa graduated with a double major in Archaeology and Religion plus a minor in Philosophy, and then entered a graduate program studying Buddhism at the Naropa Institute in CO. Congrats!

Class of 2003:

	Michele Burns at the 2000 Megiddo dig. Michele transferred in from Tel Aviv University in Israel to finish her Archaeology Major here, along with picking up a minor in Art History. She is a veteran dig supervisor as well as a former editor of the Megiddo Newsletter and the journal Tel Aviv. Michele worked on our archaeology study collection of pottery, as well as the library display. She was also the winner of the 2003 Guerra Prize in Biblical Languages for Hebrew. She supervised at the Idalion dig in summer 2003.
	Allison Harding at the 2001 Idalion Cyprus dig. Allison graduated with honors as a double major in History and Archaeology.
	Shannon Wilson dug at Idalion Cyprus in 2001. She graduated with honors a year early with a double major in Archaeology and Art History plus a Religion minor, won the Faculty Prize in Archaeology, worked on the slide database and library display along with being the volunteer coordinator for the Idalion dig, and did an internship at the Carnegie Museum in Pittsburgh. She's doing an M.A. program in Art History at Temple.
	Steve Sharp at the 2002 Idalion Cyprus dig. Steve graduated with a double major in Religion and Archaeology. He served Lycoming as a STAR, president of the Student Senate, and in many other ways. He received the McDowell Prize as an aspiring minister, as well as the Pax Christi and Service to Lycoming Awards. This year after graduating he interned at the PA house of representatives.

Class of 2004:

	Jennifer Hochman finished her double major in Archaeology and Soc/Anthro plus a minor in Art History a semester early as a Scholar, and was our Archaeology and Hebrew tutor at the Academic Resource Center as well as an assistant grader for Religion. She did a summer fellowship program in Bio-Cultural Anthropology at Notre-Dame, and has special interests in Egyptology, Art History, and Museum work.
Jennifer Eaton double majored in Archaeology and Historywith a minor in Religion. She had work-study positions at the Lycoming County Historical Museum and library, and did a paid internship with the PA Historical & Museum Commission in summer 2003.	Travis Brenchi double majored in Philosophy and Archaeology, planning to go on for graduate study in Philosophy. So why study archaeology and Hebrew? "Just because it's fun!"
	Jessica Kaiser transferred in from Penn State to do her major in Archaeology here. She dug locally on Canfield Island in May 2003.
	Ann Runnels is a Religion major and full-time pastor, but she dug on Canfield Island in May 2003.

Class of 2005:

Laura Taylor got certified in education along with her double major in History and Archaeology. She was won the Eduardo Guerra Prize in Biblical Languages for Greek as well as the 2005 Faculty Prize for Archaeology and the 2005 Mix Prize in History, and was a "STAR." She dug at Idalion in summer 2003 and is helping out with Greek tutoring this year.	Jill Parker is in the Scholar program working on a double major in Art and Archaeology, and helped spruce up the pottery display in the library. She dug at Idalion in summer 2003-2005 and helped out with Greek tutoring. She is working on an MA in Art History and Archaeology at U. Mass. Amherst.
	Sean Reese majored in Archaeology with a minor in Environmental Science, interested in pursuing Forestry and working for the National Park Service in developing educational programs. He dug locally at Canfield Island in May 2003.
Nicholas Roberts double majored in Theater & Archaeology, and worked at the local Historical Museum. He dug at Idalion in 2004. Following graduation he worked for a while as a reenactor for Renaissance fairs before going into business.	Jessica Martin transferred in from SUNY to study Archaeology and History at Lycoming. She interned at the Vanderbilt Museum on Long Island and the Museum of Natural History in NYC, and then got a job at Ripley's Believe It or Not in Atlantic City, NJ after graduating.
Rachel Blaasch transferred in to do Classical Archaeology, Creative Writing and Art History. She studyied abroad in England in Fall 2004 and dug at Idalion in Summer 2004. She worked in contract archaeology for a couple years after graduating, before joining the peace corps..

Class of 2006:

	Lee Zelewicz double majored in Soc/Anthro and music, with a minor in Archaeology. He dug locally on Canfield Island, in May 2003 and then taught an archeology class in College for Kids that same summer. He is now working on a doctorate in ethnomusicology at the University of Arizona.
Stephanie Wanek signed on for a double major in Archaeology and Criminal Justice, and dug at Idalion in summer 2003-2005, finishing up as a supervisor. She won the 2006 Faculty Prize in Archaeology. She is now working on a masters in Classical Archaeology at SUNY Albany.	Derek Whitman found a work-study position at the Lycoming County Historical Museum as a first-semester freshman in Archaeology, and went on to dig at Tel Rehov in summer 2005 before graduating and joining the Peace Corps.
	Mark Ross majored in Archaeology, and dug with Binghampton Univ at Castle Gardens in Vestal NY in 2005.
Nicole Paterson double majored in Archaeology and History. She dug at Idalion in 2004 and returned in 2005 as Dig Registrar.	Pat Bierly double majored in Archaeology and History with education certification. He dug at Idalion in 2005.
Adam Brown majored in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Archaeology. He plans to go to graduate school for Palaeo-ethno-botany at the University of Hawaii.	Austin Joy majored in Art History with a minor in Archaeology. He dug at Idalion in 2005.
Janalee Hedges hails from Texas and studied Archaeology, History and Religion. She dug at Idalion in 2004.

Class of 2007:

Jason Zan double majored in Archaeology and Religion. He headed up the archaeology slide database project and dug at Gezer in Israel in 2006 and 2007. He is starting a masters program in Archaeology at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Tom Courtney has interests in Archaeology, Theater, and Psychology. He dug at Idalion in 2004.
Aloys Rode double majored in Archaeology and Religion with a minor in Anthropology. He dug at Gezer in Israel in 2006 and worked as a tutor in Hebrew.
Lindsay Vosburg double majored in Archaeology and History with minors in Biblical Languages and Art History. She studied abroad in Rome in fall 2005 and dug in Egypt with Penn State in 2006. She will attend the University of Memphis for an MA in Egyptian Art & Archaeology, for which she won a national Phi Kappa Phi graduate fellowship. She also plans to dig at Gezer and work in the Cairo Museum in summer 2007. She won the Faculty Prize for Archaeology in 2007, as well as the Ewing and Mix prizes for History.
Meg Strong double majored in Archaeology and Art History, and dug in Egypt with Penn State in 2004. She worked as a tutorand grading assistant for Archaeology. She will attend the University of Memphis for an MA in Egyptian Art & Archaeology. Meg also got departmental honors in Archaeology for a project entitled "The Indiana Jones Effect."
Meghan Engelman triple majored in Archaeology, Philosophy, and French. She dug at Idalion in 2005 and plans to attend law school.
Jennifer Weston triple majored in Archaeology, History and Psychology. She dug at Idalion in 2004 and 2005. She plans to join the Peace Corps.
Celeste Purosky double majored in Archaeology and Anthroplogy, with a minor in Religion. She dug at Idalion in 2005. She won the Durkheim Prize for Soc/Anth in 2007.
Malorie Cease majored in Archaeology with minors in History and French. She dug at Historic St. Mary's City in Maryland in 2005.
Kent Hayden majored in Religion with minors in Biblical Languages and Archaeology. He is considering going into Ministry, amd will attend Princeton Theological Seminary. He won the Faculty Prize for Religion and the McDowell Prize for ministry in 2007.
Katherine Kressler majored in Chemistry with minors in Biblical Languages and Archaeology. She won the Guerra Prize for Greek in 2004. She won the Trask Chemistry Prize in 2007.
Laura Maschuch majored in Religion, with minors in Biblical Languages and Archaeology.
Chelsey Clark completed a Biology major with an Archaeology minor, and will be studying mortuary science.
Joel Krauser completed a double major in Archaeology and Religion. He dug locally in May 2004 on Canfield Island.

Class of 2008:

Alison Hamblin is working on a double major in Archaeology and Art History. She dug at Gezer in Israel in 2006.
Kelly Szpara created her own major in Classical Studies to accompany her Archaeology major. She won the 2006 Guerra Prize for Greek. She dug in Greece in summer 2007.
Nathan Ott is double-majoring in Archaeology and Art History. He interned at a museum in Rochester NY in summer 2006.
Sara Quinlan in majoring in Archaeology with a minor in Biology. She dug at Gezer in Israel in 2006.
Darlene Holt is working on a triple major in Archaeology, History, and Religion. She presented a paper at a professional conference of the Society of Biblical Literature in spring 2006. She dug at Gezer in 2007.
Sarah Fall is working on a double major in Archaeology and Anthropology. She got some experience in "contract archaeology" over the summer in 2006.
Brian Johnson is working on a double major in Archaeology and Anthropology. He dug at Gezer in Israel in 2006.
Shane Hicks-Lee is working on a double major in Archaeology and Religion with a minor in Biblical Languages. He presented a paper at a professional conference of the Society of Biblical Literature in spring 2006, and is considering ministry.
Jennifer Prince is working on a double major in Archaeology and History. She is studying abroad in Ireland for fall 2006, learning about Irish history, archaeology and culture.
Marcella Barbosa hails from California and plans a double major in Archaeology and History. She dug at Gezer in summer 2007. She also won the 2007 Guerra Prize for Hebrew.
Sam Daniel plans a double major in Archaeology and Religion with a minor in Art History. He traveled to Vietnam and Cambodia in May Term 2006 and runs the REAL web site. He dug at Gezer in summer 2007.
Nick Reed plans a double major in Archaeology and French.
Greg Lang plans a double major in Archaeology and History with a minor in Art History.
Sabreina Slaughter plans a double major in Archaeology and English Literature. She got an NSF scholarship to dig in Hawaii in summer 2007.
Shannon Soimes is majoring in Archaeology and History.
Sarah deRosa plans a double major in Archaeology and History with a minor in Theater. She dug in Spain in summer 2007.
Kristina Small plans a double major in Art and Archaeology with a minor in French.
Cole Younger plans a double major in Archaeology and History with a minor in Art History.
Peter Via won the 2005 Guerra Prize for Hebrew, and worked as a Hebrew tutor. He is planning on Medical School.
Janet McGlade is majoring in History with a minor in Archaeology. She has been working as a tutor for Archaeology.
Jada Faulkner plans a major in Psychology with an Archaeology minor.
