Homecoming & Family Weekend Check-In and Registration - Burchfield Lounge

All are encouraged to sign-in, pick up your itinerary and Lycoming Athletics passes, and enjoy snacks with alumni and friends. You can also check-in for the Beer & Pretzel Tent at the registration table, allowing you to by-pass the line at the door.

Archives Open House - The College Archives, located in Snowden Library

Join us for light refreshments and a stroll down memory lane.

4 p.m.

Barbara Haller Endowed Lectureship in Biology and Chemistry - G-11, Heim Science Building

Dr. Lindsey Welch ’06 will share a presentation “Life on the Edge:  My Surface Science and Catalysis Experience After Lycoming.”  Dr. Welch earned her B.S. in chemistry from Lycoming College and a Ph.D. in chemistry from Lehigh University.  She works as an assistant professor in the department of chemical and physicals sciences at Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA.  This lecture is open to the public and does not require advance registration.

Lycoming College Downtown Art Gallery - 25 West Fourth Street, Williamsport

Artist John Willis shares "With Justice and Freedom For all, Wiconi Win Wakan (All Life Is Sacred)."

Food Truck Festival - College Place

Plan to spend time on College Place where alumni, parents, students and friends can enjoy dinner from any of the four food trucks on campus for the evening: Grilled Cheese Café, Taco Bill’s, Leonard’s Backyard Bistro and Real Taste. No dinner would be complete without dessert from Bruster’s Ice Cream Truck, also participating in the festival. Vendors only accept cash. An ATM is available on the second floor of the Wertz Student Center. College Place will be closed to all traffic to accommodate this festival.

5 to 6:30 p.m.

Senior Class Reception at the President’s House - 325 Grampian Boulevard, Williamsport

President Kent Trachte and Dr. Sharon Trachte invite members of the senior class and their families to a reception at the President’s House. Refreshments will be served.
This event is open to members of the Class of 2018 and their families.

Converge Art Gallery Opening Show: “Two Faced” featuring Michael Bell ’94 and Dillon Samuelson - Converge Gallery, 140 W. Fourth Street

Michael Bell ’94 is a renowned American artist best known for his cinematic, narrative series works and for his infamous portrait painting clientele, which includes John Gotti and numerous actors from hit crime shows and mob movies such as the “Sopranos,” “Goodfellas,” “A Bronx Tale” and more. Bell has always been naturally gifted in art, winning 1st-place in the first art show he ever entered at the age of five. As an emerging artist, Bell spent a lot of his time in and around New York City studying art with his maternal grandmother, Violet Vallery, a self-taught artist from Lyndhurst, N.J. This is when Bell began to explore life’s psychological issues through his paintings.

Join the Lycoming College Band and Chamber Choir for an evening performance featuring talented Lycoming students.

8th Annual Beer & Pretzel Tent - Fultz Quadrangle

Make plans to attend the event that kicks Homecoming into high gear! Gather with new and old friends for snacks, and fill your commemorative Homecoming cup with beverages brewed by talented Lycoming alumni, including Yuengling, Tröegs and Rusty Rail beers, and Frozen Run white birch beer. This event is open to all alumni, family members and seniors age 21 and over.

Current students (Class of 2018) eligible to attend must register on campus through the Office of Student Programs

Theatre Performance: “Stop Kiss” by Diana Son - Mary L. Welch Theatre

The center of this powerful drama serves as both an indictment of hatred and a moving study of the perils inherent in living life fully.
Tickets are available for purchase two weeks before the show date

The Student Senate of Lycoming College and the Alumni Office are your hosts for a bonfire on the Fultz Quadrangle! Enjoy visiting with students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends around a huge fire as we eat s'mores and get pumped up for the athletics competition and activities to be held this weekend!

All are encouraged to sign-in, pick up your itinerary and complimentary Lycoming Athletics passes, and enjoy a Warrior Coffee tasting with alumni and friends.

9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Fall Foliage Kayak Paddle with Cookout Lunch

Gather in the Keiper Recreation Center Atrium at 8:45 a.m. where we will load into vans and depart for Little Pine Lake at 9 a.m. After a brief safety talk, guests will have the chance to paddle in a kayak or canoe before enjoying a picnic lunch cooked on site at a pavilion. The group will return to campus by 2 p.m.

$25 per person, $25 per Lycoming student

This event is limited to the first 22 people who register.
In the event of inclement weather, the paddle will be cancelled and registration fees will be refunded.

9 to 10:30 a.m.

Parent Breakfast - Pennington Lounge

Parents are invited to connect with Lycoming’s administrative leadership team and alumni association executive board (AAEB) at a casual breakfast. Lycoming College President Kent Trachte will welcome the group at 10 a.m. with Andrew Kilpatrick, associate dean of student success & academic services and dean of first year students, and alumnus Michael Bell ’94. We will recognize Lycoming Legacies at this event.

9 a.m. Brandy Lee Sudol Auction - East Hall Coffee House

Gamma Delta Sigma invites you to a basket raffle held to honor the memory of a lost sister, Brandy Lee Sudol '91, who died of Hodgkin’s disease. Funds raised will support a scholarship in Brandy’s honor.

Michael Bell ’94 will be available to sign a copy of his first book, Dual Lives: From the Streets to the Studio. Copies of the book may be purchased in the Streeter Campus Store.

The Peter Herdic Trolley will provide continuous round-trip transportation from the Academic Center parking lot to the Shangraw Athletic Complex. We hope you will make use of this fun and efficient shuttle.

“OX” Roast Tailgate Lunch - Shangraw Athletic Complex

Join alumni, friends and families at a tailgate lunch under the tent at the Shangraw Athletic Complex. Lycoming’s fraternity, Theta Chi (OX), enjoyed a long-standing tradition of slow-roasting beef overnight in a fire pit before serving it up on sandwiches at the Homecoming football games. We worked with Theta Chi alumni to recreate the “OX” Roast for Homecoming this year and can’t wait to see you there. This event is family friendly and features a bounce house for the kids!

Menu: Beef pit sandwiches with dipping sauces, chicken corn chowder, homemade chips, cookies, lemonade and water. Beer will be available to those age 21 and over in a commemorative Homecoming cup. We will not be able to offer substitutions on this menu for those with dietary restrictions. We apologize for the inconvenience.

1:30 p.m. Football Game: Lycoming vs. FDU Florham - David Person Field

Cheer on the Lycoming Warrior Football team and enjoy time outdoors with alumni, families and current students. 

5 to 10 p.m.

Lycoming Party at Pine Square - 343 Pine Street

Head downtown to Pine Square, the hot spot to find alumni, students, families and plenty of Warrior spirit! Food and beverage are available for purchase at The Brickyard Restaurant & Ale House and The Stonehouse Wood-Fired Pizza and Pasteria.
