Lycoming Students Gear-up for Spring Break
Some students choose to spend their Spring Break at home with family or vacationing with friends, but this year, several Lycoming organizations have other plans. The Lycoming College Chapter of Habitat for Humanity is traveling to Biloxi, Mississippi to help rebuild homes damaged by hurricane Katrina. The members of the Lycoming College Tour Choir are spending their time off touring throughout the Eastern U.S., including stops at the Washington National Cathedral and in Nashville, Tennessee. The women's Warrior Lacrosse team is enjoying warmer climates, training, competing, and sightseeing in Orlando, Florida. |

Lycoming Celebrates Black History Month
Throughout the month of February, members of the Black History Month Committee, Black Student Union, and the Lycoming College community enjoyed concerts, speakers, and special events in honor of Black History Month. The highlight for many students was the Rock for Darfur benefit concert held on Friday, February 16th, featuring local bands. Proceeds from the concert went to Darfur, a western region of Sudan. Darfur is currently experiencing a conflict where over half a million people have been murdered and another 2 million are homeless.
